Protein Panoramic annoTation Transfer (P2T2)
P2T2: tool for Protein Panoramic annoTation Transfer
The integration of patient-derived genomic information with publicly available annotation sources informative of clinical relevance is a key component in Individualized Medicine (IM); however, these data are often generated and stored using disparate methodologies and architectures. P2T2 is a web-based platform for:
- Annotation of proteins using extensive and diverse resources of:
- population variants
- experimentally determined functional variants
- phenotype-associated variants
- literature-mined variant-phenotype relationships
- linear motifs and domains
- experimental 3D structures
- Facilitating transfer of this information between closely related proteins via multiple sequence alignment that aid in determining pathogenicity or functional effects of variants.
